Bring your boat back to life — in a weekend, not a month

Re-Gel isn't a coating. Not a wax, not a sealant, not a spray-on shine that washes off in weeks.

Re-Gel is a 2-part system that chemically bonds into your gelcoat — restoring the color, gloss, and UV protection the sun has stripped away. Once it cures, it's part of the surface, not sitting on top of it. Keeps protecting your gelcoat season after season.

And because the gelcoat is sealed and smooth again, washing your boat gets dramatically easier. Dirt, water spots, bugs, and grime rinse off in minutes — no more weekend scrubbing.

You don't need a detailer, a buffer, or any prior experience. Everything you need is in the box.

  1. Scuff with the included Scotch-Brite pad
  2. Clean with wax & grease remover
  3. Mix Part A and Part B
  4. Wipe on with the included pad
  5. Let it cure

Five steps, one afternoon, applied with surface temp under 77°F. That's the whole process.

Plan 2–8 hours depending on your boat's size and condition. Most owners finish in an afternoon, solo — no helper, no shop. no detailer.

Made for: Boats from 20ft-30ft showing fading, chalking, or oxidation. Works on fiberglass hulls, decks, and most gelcoat surfaces.

Not for: Painted boats, clear-coated boats, or boats with active gel cracking (those need repair first).

Durability varies based on climate, prep quality, and maintenance. See FAQ for care guide.

How to Apply

Re-Gel is designed for beginner-friendly DIY application.

  1. Wash and prepare the surface using the included pre-cleaner and scuff pad.
  2. Remove remaining wax, grease, and contaminants.
  3. Mix the Re-Gel formula and catalyst according to the instructions.
  4. Wipe on a slow, even coat.
  5. Allow the surface to cure before exposing it to water.

Most projects take approximately 2–8 hours, depending on the size and condition of the surface. Apply in the shade with the surface temperature below 77°F

What Re-Gel Works On

Made for:

  • Fiberglass boats
  • Gelcoat hulls and decks
  • Jet skis and personal watercraft
  • Fiberglass RV surfaces
  • Faded, dull, chalky, or oxidized gelcoat
Drying, Curing & Care

Re-Gel is normally dry to the touch in approximately one hour, depending on temperature and humidity.

Keep the surface completely dry for at least 24 hours after application. For boats, allow approximately four days of full curing before prolonged water exposure or launching.

Wait approximately 4–7 days before performing a full wash. After curing, regular soap-and-water cleaning is recommended.

Scuff. Wipe. Cure.

A 2-part urethane you wipe on by hand — four steps, one afternoon.

1

Wash & scuff

One pass strips the dirt and chalk and preps the surface to bond.

2

Wax & grease remover

Wipe the whole surface down with the included Wax & Grease Remover so no oils or residue are left to block the bond.

3

Mix the two parts

Combine the catalyst with the Re-Gel bottle right before you apply. Mix only what you'll use — once it's catalyzed, the clock starts.

4

Apply slowly

Wipe, even coat, working slowly. On boats, RVs, or jet skis badly beaten up by the sun, lay down a second coat for full color and depth. It cures to a hard, UV-protected finish that holds season after season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Re-Gel be applied over decals and graphics?

Yes. Re-Gel can be applied directly over most factory decals and graphics, helping restore shine across the entire surface without leaving unfinished areas around them.

Older, cracked, peeling, or aftermarket decals should be tested in a small, hidden area before completing the full application.

Can I buff or wax the surface after applying Re-Gel?

Yes. After Re-Gel has fully cured for at least one week, the surface may be lightly buffed or waxed if desired.

Wax is not required to create the restored shine, but it may be used afterward as part of your regular maintenance routine. Avoid aggressive compounds or abrasive products that could damage the restored finish.

What is Re-Gel, and how is it different from wax?

Re-Gel is a 2-part gelcoat restoration system that bonds with the existing surface to restore deep gloss and help protect against UV damage.

Unlike waxes and polishes that sit on top of the surface and wear away, Re-Gel is designed to create a longer-lasting restoration for faded, chalky, or oxidized gelcoat.

How long does Re-Gel last?

Re-Gel can last for years with proper preparation and care. The exact lifespan depends on sun exposure, climate, storage, usage, and maintenance.

Boats and RVs stored covered or indoors will generally maintain the finish longer than surfaces exposed to constant sun and weather.

Which Re-Gel kit do I need?

Choose your kit based on the size and condition of your boat or RV:

  • Mini Kit: Boats up to 20 ft or RVs up to 30 ft
  • Standard Kit: Boats 20–30 ft or RVs 30–40 ft
  • Pro Kit: Up to 1,200 sq. ft.
  • Ultra Kit: Up to 1,600 sq. ft.

When between sizes or working on heavily oxidized gelcoat, size up so you do not run out during application.
